Thai Airways International has warned passengers of possible flight disruptions to Taiwan and Hong Kong early this week as Super Typhoon Ragasa moves into the region.
Flights between Bangkok and Kaohsiung that may be affected include TG630 and TG631 on Monday and Tuesday. Services to and from Hong Kong likely to face delays or cancellations on Tuesday and Wednesday include TG602, TG603, TG628, TG629, TG638, and TG639. Additionally, TG600 and TG601 may experience delays on Wednesday.
The airline strongly advised passengers scheduled on these routes to check the latest flight updates before departing for the airport. Hong Kong authorities are also considering closing Hong Kong International Airport for up to 36 hours starting Tuesday evening, as the city braces for severe winds and heavy rain.
The storm has already caused widespread flooding and landslides in the Philippines and is now tracking toward Taiwan, with dangerous conditions expected across East Asia.
