This initiative saw a Taiwanese delegation comprising government, industry, academia, and research experts travel to Bangkok, Chiang Rai, and Chiang Mai to engage with Thai officials and research institutions on the integration of AI in agricultural practices.
The discussions during the visit focused on the application of smart-farming technologies, promoting low-carbon agriculture, and fostering public-private partnerships to modernize agricultural production. The Taiwanese delegation also visited farms and organizations employing smart-farming methods, such as those focusing on organic tea and sustainable banana cultivation. These visits and discussions highlighted the importance of agricultural engineering, technology adaptation, and the development of skilled professionals, as emphasized during talks at Maejo University.
